Lalogy Corrective Night Cream Review

beauty night cream

I’m always on the hunt for a hydrating night cream.  Especially since my skin is always thirsty in this dry Phoenix heat.   I once read that skin cell renewal rate is higher at night and that your skin is more receptive to active ingredients at this time (source).  Knowing these two facts, I am quite obsessed about my nightly regimen of cleansing my face and using night cream.  For the past two weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of trying Lalogy, a company that creates highly, effective, natural, 100% organic products.  I chose their Lullaby Night Cream, which is a corrective night cream that promises to hydrate the skin, remove dead skin cells and lessens the appearance of wrinkles.  Continue reading

Hush Lash Studio Review

stylistafitness-hush.lash.studioIf there is one complaint in life that I have on the daily, it’s not having enough TIME.  Time is important these days because I tend to run out of it.  Eyelash extensions are a TIME saver.  It has honestly cut my time in the morning by five minutes (Yes, five minutes makes a difference).  My lashes are short, sparse and don’t have curl.  I spend lots of time curling/mascara applying and 5 minutes later they are stick straight and the mascara is basically all over my skin (aka raccoon eyes).  So annoying, am I right?  I’ve had eyelash extensions in the past and loved them.  Recently, Hush Lash Studio in North Scottsdale contacted me to try out their services.  I said sign me up and this is what happened.

Review: Studio Gear Prime Objective Perfecting Face Primer

best makeup primer

Makeup has been a passion of mine since I was 15.  I would experiment when mom wasn’t home.  Over the years, most of what I’ve learned is self-taught but I rely on a lot of YouTube gurus.  They first introduced me to using primer.  In my early 20s I wasn’t much of a foundation wearer, but in the 30s I feel it’s a must. It evens out my skin tone and gives me a flawless canvas to work with. I don’t always use primer as a base but these days with blog shoots and events, with the hot lights and varying outdoor weather, it’s an essential. Today I’ll be reviewing a primer I’ve started using by Studio Gear.

A little about the product

PRIME OBJECTIVE is a silicone based face primer that acts to “re-touch”, or visually diminish, imperfections in the surface texture of the skin. PRIME OBJECTIVE contains a sustained release liposome system with retinol that can help support cell turnover and reduce the appearance if fine lines and wrinkles, as well as a milk protein complex that can help to balance and protect the skin against environmental stresses. The “skin perfecting” effect of this state-of-the-art formula is further enhanced with optical diffusers.

What does Stylista Fitness Think?

I had high hopes for this product and it certainly met my expectations.  It stood the test of time from am application to pm.  My makeup did not budge and the oily glow I get by the end of the day was non-existent.  My foundation stayed matte for 14 hours!  The product has the same silicon-like consistency that most primers have.  It sinks into your fine lines like magic.  It gives my face a perfect canvas for foundation.  It’s also fragrance free, which is what I prefer for most of my makeup products.  Overall, I give this primer a 9 out of 10.  You can buy this product at their website and receive 10% off using the code BB.

Do you use primer? If so, what kind do you use?
